The All Progressives Congress (APC), Ikot Ekpene Chapter, convened its stakeholders meeting on Thursday, 17 July 2025, at No. 100 Ikono Road under the chairmanship of Hon. Imoh Gabriel Umoibe.
During the deliberations, the stakeholders unanimously reaffirmed their unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, and Governor Umo Bassey Eno, pledging backing for their prospective re-election bids in 2027.
The meeting also called on party leaders across the various wards to intensify efforts in registering new members, encouraging seamless integration into the APC without impediments. Furthermore, directives from the state party leader, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, were echoed, emphasising his role in steering party affairs across Akwa Ibom State.
In addition, the chapter chairman was mandated, through consultations with party leadership, to address local issues that may affect party cohesion and progress within the Local Government Area.
The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to fortify the party’s grassroots mobilisation and maintain unity ahead of future electoral contests.
