In a significant gathering on Friday, 18 July 2025, at the Conference Hall in Afaha Offiong, the All Progressives Congress (APC) ward chairmen and principal officers of Nsit Ibom Local Government Area convened for a momentous assembly. Presided over by the Chapter Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Jimmy Akpan, the event drew together ward leaders, chapter officials, and the Women’s Wing of APC Nsit Ibom for an engagement session with the forward-thinking Executive Chairman, Rt. Hon. Oto Aaron.
Hon. Emmanuel Jimmy Akpan conveyed heartfelt gratitude to Rt. Hon. Oto Aaron for her bold and laudable decision to fully embrace and engage with the APC structure at the grassroots level. She has notably become the first executive chairman in Akwa Ibom State to formally collaborate with the local party apparatus—an initiative hailed as a historic milestone. This action mirrors the inclusive and proactive leadership approach of His Excellency, Governor Pst. Umoh Bassey Eno, PhD, whose dedication to comprehensive engagement has continually inspired party loyalists across the state.
Further commending Oto Aaron’s inclusivity, Hon. Emmanuel Jimmy acknowledged her warm reception of the APC Women’s Wing in Nsit Ibom, reinforcing her commitment to expanding participation within the party. The Chapter Chairman also highlighted her openness to involving a wider array of party stakeholders—including ward and chapter executives, the Youth Wing, and other eminent members—at a forthcoming meeting, signalling a new dawn of collaboration and innovative governance.
Addressing attendees, Hon. Emmanuel Jimmy lauded Rt. Hon. Oto Aaron’s vision and strategic direction, describing her efforts as pivotal to securing victory for Governor Umoh Bassey Eno in the forthcoming 2027 general elections. The chapter reaffirmed its full support, expressing readiness to work alongside the Executive Chairman to realise the APC’s collective goals for Nsit Ibom’s future.
Underscoring party unity, the chapter chairman, together with all ward chairmen, publicly endorsed Governor Eno for a second term, pledging steadfast support for his re-election campaign in 2027 and displaying strong confidence in his leadership.
