The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially appointed Dr. Umar Majigi as the substantive Director of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
This appointment honors Dr. Majigi’s demonstrated expertise, professionalism, and dedication to advancing and modernizing the party’s ICT infrastructure.
Dr. Majigi, who holds a Ph.D. in Cybersecurity Science along with qualifications in web design, programming, and data processing, previously served as Assistant Director of ICT at the APC National Secretariat. He later advanced to Acting Director, delivering strategic leadership and operational support.
In his acting role, Dr. Majigi significantly bolstered the party’s ICT systems, managed data operations, and rolled out digital tools that streamlined nationwide party activities. He was especially key in launching the APC’s membership e-registration system, which greatly improved the database’s credibility, efficiency, and user access.
The promotion highlights APC’s focus on merit-driven decisions, organizational stability, and cultivating internal talent by elevating skilled insiders to critical positions.
