Hon. Rachel Kufre Nse Inaugurated as South-South Representative on NCDC Board

Abuja, 28 August 2025 — Hon. Rachel Kufre Nse has been inaugurated as the South-South geopolitical zone representative on the Governing Board of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), marking a significant milestone in Nigeria’s regional development landscape.

The inauguration ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja and was presided over by the Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, who represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Hon. Nse brings extensive experience to her new role, having previously served on the Board of Alvan Ikoku Federal Polytechnic, Owerri. She is credited with contributing to strengthening institutional governance and spearheading developmental initiatives, experiences that are expected to underpin her contributions at the NCDC.

In a heartfelt address following her inauguration, Hon. Nse expressed gratitude to God, President Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio—her political mentor—and her supporters. She pledged to serve with integrity and diligence, assuring that the South-South region’s development needs would be prioritized within NCDC’s mandate, aligned with promoting sustainable growth and inclusive development across Nigeria.

The event attracted dignitaries, government officials, and stakeholders who praised her appointment as a strategic decision, highlighting her leadership qualities, loyalty, and dedication to public service.

Hon. Rachel Kufre Nse now joins fellow board members in steering the NCDC’s efforts toward addressing developmental challenges and creating opportunities that benefit all regions of the country.
