Barrister Emmanuel Enoidem, SAN, has expressed appreciation to political leaders, party officials, and supporters following his formal reception into the All Progressives Congress in Akwa Ibom State.
In a statement issued after the event held on Friday in Etim Ekpo, Enoidem described his admission into the APC as a significant moment for both his political journey and the wider interests of Akwa Ibom State. He noted that the reception, which took place at the Etim Ekpo Township Stadium, drew a large crowd and reflected strong public engagement with the evolving political landscape in the state.
Enoidem paid tribute to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, describing him as a mentor and leader whose presence at the event underscored party unity and personal support. He acknowledged the Senate President’s decision to attend the reception despite the demands of his national responsibilities, including hosting Enoidem and the state governor ahead of the formal defection.
He also commended the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, for what he described as consistent leadership, humility, and commitment to inclusive governance. According to Enoidem, the governor played a key role in encouraging his decision to join the APC and mobilised senior state officials and party leaders to attend the event.
Further appreciation was extended to the Deputy Governor, Akon Eyakenyi, members of the Akwa Ibom State Executive Council, and the leadership of the State House of Assembly led by Speaker Udeme Otong. Enoidem also recognised the presence of members of the National Assembly, both serving and former, as well as several members of the House of Representatives from the state.
He acknowledged the leadership of the APC in Akwa Ibom, including the State Chairman, Stephen Ntukekpo, alongside party officials at national, regional, state, local government, and ward levels for their coordination and support.
Special recognition was given to traditional rulers, religious leaders, and community stakeholders from Etim Ekpo Local Government Area, as well as members of the Central Planning Committee who coordinated the event logistics.
Enoidem concluded by thanking his family, political associates, and supporters across Etim Ekpo and the wider state for their continued confidence and solidarity. He reaffirmed his commitment to contributing to the growth and success of the APC in Akwa Ibom State, with a focus on promoting stability, development, and inclusive progress.
