…Lauds continuous support for Gov. Umo Eno
The Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Government, SSG, Prince Enobong Uwah has underscored the importance of party unity and grassroots participation as key drivers of development, urging members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to fully embrace the ongoing e-registration exercise.
Speaking on Tuesday at an APC ward meeting held at Atan Offot, the SSG described the meeting as both timely and necessary, noting that it was convened to appreciate party members for their support for Governor Umo Eno’s administration.
According to him, the dividends of democracy witnessed in the ward is a direct outcome of the support they extended to the Governor in 2023 and urged them to do so again come 2031.
“Today we came for a ward meeting, and this exercise is very necessary. All of these things are because you supported the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno. That is the reason, and nothing else,” He said.
He recalled that during the electioneering period, he personally assured supporters that the Umo Eno administration would maintain a cordial and inclusive relationship with them.
“Before the election, we were preaching like this—that you should stand with us. At that time, we were in the PDP. I can recall during the campaigns, I told us that Governor Umo Eno’s administration would be good to us,” he stated.
The SSG further emphasized that governance naturally comes with development, expressing confidence that the present administration is committed to equitable development across the state, including Ward 6 in Uyo.
He also appealed to party members to take the ongoing e-registration exercise and voter’s registration seriously.
The well-attended meeting featured goodwill messages from party stakeholders from various villages, who assured the SSG of their unwavering support for Governor Eno and his administration till 2031 and beyond.
