The All Progressives Congress in Akwa Ibom State has taken a decisive step to strengthen its political base with the announcement of mandatory ward meetings across the state. This strategic move promotes early preparation for future electoral contests and reflects the party’s renewed focus on grassroots engagement and internal cohesion.

The initiative follows the successful statewide e registration exercise, which has recorded significant participation from party members. Building on this momentum, the APC leadership has scheduled coordinated meetings in all wards to assess progress, consolidate gains, and deepen member involvement at the community level.
Under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno, PhD, the party has experienced a new phase of stability, inclusiveness, and strategic direction. As Leader of the APC in Akwa Ibom State, Governor Eno has demonstrated consistent commitment to party unity and organisational growth. His support for reforms has strengthened internal structures and repositioned the APC as a disciplined and forward looking political platform.
The party has also acknowledged the vital role played by Senate President, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON, whose guidance and encouragement continue to inspire confidence among members. Together with Governor Eno, his leadership has helped to foster a culture of cooperation and shared purpose within the party.
Local Government Chairmen, ward leaders, and members of the e-registration committee have been commended for their dedication in mobilising supporters and coordinating activities across the state. Their efforts have ensured that the party’s message and programmes reach every corner of Akwa Ibom.
The forthcoming ward meetings will serve as a platform to review registration outcomes, address operational challenges, and strengthen mobilisation strategies. More importantly, they will provide an opportunity for members to reconnect with party leadership and reaffirm their commitment to collective goals.
By placing emphasis on ward level participation, the APC is reinforcing the principle that political strength begins at the grassroots. This approach promotes ownership, accountability, and sustained engagement among members.
The party leadership has urged all members to actively participate in the meetings and remain united in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Senate President Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno. This unified front is essential for building a resilient and competitive political structure in the state.
With these early moves, the Akwa Ibom APC is demonstrating clarity of purpose and organisational maturity. The focus on grassroots consolidation, combined with visionary leadership from Governor Umo Eno, positions the party for long term growth and electoral success.
As the political landscape continues to evolve, the APC in Akwa Ibom is setting the pace through planning, unity, and inclusive leadership. This renewed drive reflects a party determined to serve the people effectively and remain a formidable force in the state’s democratic process.
